Patrick’s Point Campout

patrickspoint

Description—Our annual Patrick’s Point Campout is open to all scouting families and families considering joining scouts!

We have a lot of fun activities planned that focus on scouting skills. There’s a fun night hike Friday and optional necklace making activity on Sunday at the Sumeg Village. Scouts are taught to make a replica of a Yurok necklace using shells. In the Yurok language, Sumeg refers to an ancient ceremonial and important gathering place.

Saturday we will be working on The 10 Essentials, a service project helping to protect the park and time for play.  We have separate activities for the different age groups.

Date and Time—Sept 27-29, On Sunday there will be an optional necklace making activity at the Sumeg Village ($5 per necklace).
